They're wearing their Batman & Superman shirts complete with cape!
We made it to the second service plaza on the turnpike accident free!! *** cheers! ***
We grabbed lunch, a cookie then headed to the restroom. Superman went first -- door wide open, concerned if he closed it the automatic toilet would flush! I stood nearby with Batman while he did his thing.
A woman came in, we exchanged jokes about potty training & she was laughing because she could tell people she saw Supermans butt! Ahh, road trips..... lol
While we were all washing hands, she talked with the little fellas a bit more & then handed them each a rock with a heart on one side & a link on the other. She told me if I looked it up, there is a beautiful story online about them.
Here is the link to the story: http://love-drenched-life.com/love-rocks/
They're also simply 'Love Rocks' on Facebook.
What she didn't know is that we're on our way to michigan to help a friend say goodbye to her husband that unexpectedly passed away on Monday.
The service is on Valentine's Day. My husband stayed home with our oldest because we just passed the 1 year anniversary of his dad's death & that's been difficult. I think this will be our first year apart since being together. That doesn't even matter when I think about this being my friends last day ever with her husband.
Amazing how people cross your path exactly when you need them.
And now, we hit the road for the remainder of our trip! :)
