8 months, 2 weeks, 5 days of changing my life! 

Day 55 of 55 -- PIYO = round 1 complete!!!!!! :):):)


Morning Shakeology: Vegan chocolate, banana, peanut butter, ice & water 

1. Breakfast out: eggs, cheesy hashbrowns, toast (!), pancakes 

2. Few cold perogies between errands 

3. Larabar - thought I was stopping myself from making bad decisions before hitting #traderjoes

4. But it didn't work, lol salted brownies 

5. Homemade broccoli alfredo with garlic bread (more bread!)

6. Popcorn with real butter 


I let bread slip back in today! Ack! Better choices tomorrow to stick with my 3 week commitment. 


Day 55 = drench! Or, it was supposed to be. I'm knocked down with this blasted cold & I'm hoping to feel better tomorrow. I'll do this in place of fundamentals.

Final day of Piyo round 1 & sick.

Week 8 day 7 = Drench! And with the way I'm feeling with this cold, that's not happenin'. Rest day it is! Tomorrow starts round 2 so I'll just do Drench in place of fundamentals, assuming I'm feeling better. Don't want to push it when my body is trying to fight off this crud.

3. Late night iced caramel macchiato - I'm going to feel that tomorrow! 


What happened today!? Sickness has taken over the house. #excuses 


Day 54 = full body blast! I slept in a bit to try & get rid of the sore throat I woke up with. Then knocked out this workout. I could definitely feel my body wasn't at 100% but I still did pretty ok! :)

I failed miserably at following the nutrition plan but I rocked the strength Piyo schedule! I lost 13 inches overall. 


I have 1 day left of the program & I'm restarting on Monday! I may add in some Body Beast for the fun of lifting stuff though! ;)

1. Leftover Mexican: rice bean burrito

3. Baked tofu with panko breadcrumbs & green beans

Not bad for being nearly out of groceries! All 3 little fellas (and possibly myself) are sick now so we've been housebound. 


Day 53 = strength intervals! Knocked it out early. #BAM

Comfort zone be damned.

Sooooo, this just happened. Omg! Omg! Omg! 
I was working out last week with Rob home & he said, 'you should teach this!' I laughed at the idea because working out in front of ANYONE is not my idea of a good time, lol 
But, he got me thinking. Then a friend/coach on my team posted yesterday asking if anyone local wanted to join her. So, I talked to Rob again & decided to go for it! 
And, I just registered for Piyo certification training! Eeeeeek! :):):):) 
But, it's a secret so my nerves don't get the best of me so mums the word! Only blogger world knows for now. ;)

Piyo, week 8 day 5 -- almost through!

Week 8 day 5 = Strength Intervals! Got up & got 'er done! 
In my pj's, bad call ..... needed my sports bra. lol!! 
Glad it's done & it was a short one though! I have 3 sick little fellas on my hands today -- runny noses & sore throats. Blah. Hoping it doesn't hit the adults, too! Fingers crossed.

Rob came back from his work trip today so we went out after picking him up from the airport. I have no regrets. ;) 


Day 52 = Sweat! Yesterday's rest day was a good thing! This workout felt fantastic. :)

Piyo, week 8

Week 8 day 4 = sweat! That felt AWESOME!! Despite the little fellas interrupting a few times, lol 

Yesterday's unplanned rest day did me well. :) 

Our siding project is mostly done & we get to pick up Rob from the airport tonight. We're getting a first opinion on the potential asbestos today, too. Fingers crossed it's not!! :) 

I'm so glad my workout is done early today!! #BOOM bring it on, Thursday! It is Thursday, right? lol!!

2. Mac n cheese with peas (3 bowls throughout the day!)


I replaced bread with pasta? #babysteps Day 1 of 21 cutting bread 


Day 51 = rest day! I have a stack of excuses for rescheduling my workout but, it is what it is.

Day 50 of 55 -- PIYO

1. Eggs & toast

2. Lunch out: fried cheese & broccoli soup (where's the broccoli??)

3. Lunch out: garlic bread & salad (dried fruit, nuts & spinach)

4. Dinner ordered in: veggie pizza & bread sticks 

5. Vanilla yogurt (still haven't grocery shopped so no maple syrup yet)


I'm reading Darren Hardy's The Compound Effect & he challenged me to give up 1 vice. I choose bread! I have no self control with bread (look at today!) so I'm going to kick it for 3 weeks. 

That's tracking finances (see my blog post from today for more details) & giving up bread for 3 weeks. #personaldevelopment


Day 50 = Buns! Early one! I beat the siding guys. Wahoo!  And, I was feeling that late Drench workout in my back/arms/shoulders during it! :)

Personal development

Do you do any type of personal development daily? Every single day! I have been since becoming a coach & it makes a world of difference! 
I'm currently reading/listening to (read at home, listen in the Jeep:) The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy. I love it!  
The first assignment is to track 1 thing for 3 weeks. My initial choice was food. Of course! We listened in the car during our road trip the other day & Rob asked if I'm tracking finances. 
Me: "no! I'm doing food! I need to get my nutrition on track!" 
We ride a little while longer & he says: "you already track your food!"
Fiiiiiiine, he's right. As much as I hate to admit that. ;) But, he is! 
So, I started tracking finances today. 
We've made some major mindless purchases recently (60 inch tv, anyone!?) & we need to get our heads out of the clouds. We want to take a trip to Hawaii as soon as he has vacation time & we're making it so that won't be an easy trip to manage.  Wish me luck in completing this 3 week task! :)

I need to do a 5 day clean eating challenge. Would you join me??? 


Day 49 = Drench! Late one! No curtains + siding guys = no thanks. LOL But, I got it done! See my hand & foot? Yoga gloves & socks. They're weird. My toes were suffocated from the flow section & my hands were sweaty. I'll take my points for trying & move on! ;)

Piyo, week 7 day 4

Week 7 day 4 of Piyo = strong legs! I needed that one! And it FLEW by! Suddenly we were cooling down. Yeah baby! :) 

It cracks me up when Chalene talks about shakeology & everyone traveling with blenders because it's SO TRUE!! Our group that's going to Summit in 2015 has already had that discussion..... we don't even have rooms booked yet but we've hammered out the blender topic..... lol

Piyo, week 7 day 3

Week 7 day 3 = Core! I woke up with an aching right leg from foot to butt. (I can't pinpoint where the problem is). So, I stretched a bit, sat around a bit, took some drugs & just nursed that a while this morning. Then decided to just go for it because even the drugs didn't touch it. It felt WAY better during/after this workout. I'm glad I didn't skip it entirely! :)

We had a play date this morning so I didn't get it done till this afternoon. Bonus = Rob was home to take pictures! 8 months ago (or even 2 or 3 months ago!), I NEVER would have posted full body shots! But now!? I may not be where I want to be but I'm SO much more confident & comfortable in my body! :)

No stove! Pretty good day considering.

Week 6 day 5 = Full body blast! Supposed to be a rest day but we're headed out of today again this weekend. So, I'm planning to take Sunday as my rest day! I'm bringing Sweat along for tomorrow (you ready DD??? ;) though! :):):)

Full body blast was tricky with the new mats on our gym floor but I stripped the covers & they worked great! :)

Day 37 = Buns! The interruption from the little fellas makes me feel like I didn't get a full workout in. We'll see how my buns feel tomorrow. ;)

Piyo, week 6 day 3

Week 6 day 3 = Buns!! I really like that one. I'm seeing a lot of love for this one from others doing Piyo, too. :) 

I was stopped quarter of the way through by a twin-splosion! They were having a good ol' time, tossing Robs stability ball around when one 2 year old knocked the other 2 year old into the weight set with his head. :-O All was ok after some cuddles! And I was able to finish up as they dangerously jumped from a chair onto their indoor trampoline (no tears there till after I was done!). Rough morning...... lol

Day 36 of 60 -- PIYO

Day 36 = Core! It was a great workout! And my little buddy enjoyed himself too. :)
