1. Morning shakeology (I was certain I was taking a rest day because of my bruised foot) - vegan chocolate, banana, unsweetened almond milk & ice

2. Sautéed broccoli, toasted Ezekiel cinnamon raisin bread with peanut butter & a veggie burger but A ran off with it. lol 

3. Hummus with pita chips  

4. Cottage cheese 

5. Vegan tropical strawberry shakeology while making dinner with banana, unsweetened almond milk & ice

6. Zucchini, pinto beans & soyrizo (organic) burrito 

7. Frozen yogurt with Heath bar & andies mints

To do the 3 day refresh or not to do the 3 day refresh......

We have family visiting & that means I'm giving into convenience (cooking for 8 people is a lot of work!) & totally slacking in the nutrition department! 
So, I'm considering doing the 3 Day Refresh. But, I'm still breastfeeding the babies. I can't find any info online to tell me if it'll be enough calories to support nursing. Hmmmm. What to do, what to do. 
I think I'll order I for Rob. He's been 'bulking up' to start Body Beast but hasn't yet started (we're on the hunt for a good used weight set!). So, he could REALLY use a good detox! My Dad likes to buy bologna when he visits. Have I mentioned my family is vegetarian/organic? Which bologna is neither! Gag. Ok, I've convinced myself to order it for him..... lol

3. Shakeology samples at super Saturday: greenberry with orange juice, the new vegan strawberry & a vegan chocolate 

4. Road lunch: celery with peanut butter, nectarine, bell pepper with hummus, sesame sticks, larabar, cucumber slices 

5. Bean burrito 

6. Banana

Super Saturday, what not to wear & public speaking

I am the biggest example of ....... what NOT to wear!!!! I needed something red, white or blue for today's event. 

I had this dress hanging in the closet & thought PERFECT! 

Plus, it's insanely comfortable. (usually) comfort = baaaaaad. lol 

It's now in the donation pile so that doesn't happen again! 


Getting into shape & being healthy isn't the only struggle on this journey. Learning how to dress is pretty high on the list too!

3. Lunch out: green bean french fries (I gave the cheese stick to a little fella)

4. Lunch out: black bean veggie burger with avocado, lettuce, tomato & a side of steamed broccoli 

5. Salted brownie bites 

6. Lemon cake (this & #5 shims peel long veggies for tomorrow's road trip!) 

7. Cucumbers 

8. Nectarine 

9. Bell pepper slices & 1 piece spinach/artichoke pizza 


Week 3 day 2 of Les Mills Combat = power HIIT 2. It was fun! Interrupted once but overall, great workout! Tons of sweat.

1. Breakfast out (power out for electrical upgrade for 4-5 hours) - veggie omelet (green/red bell peppers & spinach with shredded cheese), wheat toast (I gave the hashbrowns to my mom)

2. Whaaaat!? Grocery shopping solo! Whole Foods cake

3. Finally! We had no power so I skipped my post workout shakeology till after grocery shopping: vegan chocolate, banana, unsweetened almond milk & ice 

4. Spinach & artichoke pizza (YES, after grocery shopping! What the......)

5. Beers with my Dad while weeding the gardens around the new house. :)

I HAVE MY KITCHEN BACK!!!!! I still need to grocery shop so I did my best again but it felt SO good to cook, eat at home & not fill my body with garbage! Hoping to hit the store TOMORROW (for real this time, lol). :):):)


1. Vegan chocolate, frozen mango & water

2. Sautéed broccoli, hummus filled pita, PBJ on Ezekiel cinnamon raisin bread

3. Nectarine (A ran off with most of it!)

4. Sunflower seeds (my Mom asked me how I get them on a stick because that's how my pictures look, lol)

5. Roasted cauliflower - I munched on this while dinner cooked!! 

6. Potatoes/veggies in seasoned coconut milk, 'roast' & more roasted cauliflower 

7. Seriously, someone send food! lol (jokes, jokes, we still have enough to last till we get to the store! don't go reporting me)


Week 2 day 6 (?? Why can't I keep track!? I need a wall calendar, lol) of Les Mills Combat = rest day! 

Moving did not = rest day. lol I'm ready for bed at 8PM!!

4. Shakeology while making dinner: I was close to making bad choices while I cooked! It helped. :) Vegan tropical strawberry, unsweetened almond milk & a banana 

5. Sautéed zucchini & bell peppers with a veggie burger 

Almost all of my pictures were taken with my new appliances. LOL I love them!!!! :) 


Week 2 day 6 of Les Mills Combat = combat 30! I love that workout. I admit I'm looking forward to tomorrow's rest day though! This move on top of keeping up on my schedule is exhausting my body.

1. Breakfast out: strawberry banana stack (shared with everyone), & french toast

2. Breakfast out: eggs, toast & cheesy casserole hash browns (A ate those)

3. My first shakeology at our new home! Vegan chocolate, unsweetened almond milk & ice 

4. Dinner out: zucchini fries 

5. Dinner out: triple cheese grilled sandwich with a baked potato 

6. Dinner out: hot apple pie with vanilla ice cream (I mostly just ate the pie)


Week 2 day 4 (? I've lost count!) of Les Mills Combat = rest day! 

Lots of moving boxes around & pulling weeds today!

Two weeks, 2 days of trusting myself after 2 rounds of 21 day fix. We call this -- survival mode! Get through the move with 3 small children with your sanity intact! And, my kitchen won't be here till Monday! Ahhhhh. #makingexcuses 


1. Post workout shakeology/breakfast: vegan chocolate, plain yogurt, oats, unsweetened almond milk, water & frozen pineapple 

2. Lunch out: chips & salsa 

3. Lunch out: veggie fajita

4. Ummmm, where's #4? Exhaustion ate it. lol 

5. Dinner out: salad (with ranch!) & zucchini french fries 

6. Dinner out: veggie burger with grilled peppers & fries (ate half, needed room for #7!)

7. Dinner out: brownie fudge sundae. :-O I'm going to pay for that in energy suck but it was damn good. lol 


Week 2 day 3 of Les Mills Combat = power kata 45. Awesome start to the chaotic day! Final workout at the temp apartment & a rest day tomorrow. #happygirl 

Plus, moving day!! Nonstop movement today. AND, we get to do it again Monday. #allied screwed us on delivery because the planned truck couldn't get here. Yaaaaaay. #sarcasm #exhaustion

1. Sautéed broccoli, 'fried' potatoes & eggs (ate most at home but another road load meal eaten from a ziploc bag, lol)

2. Lunch out: salad with ranch annnnnnnd onion petals. :-O

3. Post workout shakeology: vegan chocolate, frozen strawberry & water 

4. Grass fed organic mozzarella cheese slices 

5. Sunflower seeds 

6. Dinner out: salad with (more!) ranch, pizza & garlic knots 


Week 2 day 2 of Les Mills Combat -- power HIIT 1! Mostly rocked it. It's not a favorite & I was interrupted but I'm glad I got it done! :) 

Also, tons of packing & moving today. My feet are achin'.

Confidence boom.

Les Mills Combat - kick start 30 is done! 

We had to be over at the new house early this morning so I had to put it off till this afternoon. The babies napped so I really got to focus. AWESOME workout!! KIA!!!!! 


And, I've always done my workouts wearing a nursing tank over my sports bra. Because, well, honestly, my belly is a wreck after carrying twins & I haven't wanted to watch it jiggle around! But, I recently bought a new bra (it's been a LONG time!) so I haven't been wearing my nursing tanks. I was ready to workout, couldn't get to my tanks so I went for it in just my sports bra. Why didn't I do this sooner???!!!! I feel like I was way more aware of my abs & pushed myself harder than normal. I'll be ditching the cover from now on! #freedom

6 month progress update

And, here I am today!!!! 6 months of hard work, sweat, multiple out of state moves, 2 losses of dear family members, homeschooling, raising 3 boys & being the best wife I can be. All of this could have & would have derailed me in the past. Not anymore!! :)

6 month progress update

TODAY is my 6 month anniversary for changing my life! 

My journey has evolved me in ways I never expected. I feel like a completely different person! Inside & out. 

I'm grateful to everyone that has stuck by my side, supported & encouraged me along the way. 

Here's a few pictures of me over the years. I was a skinny kid but as an adult, I've always struggled with my weight (even before babies). 

I would lose it then regain it even more quickly. This time? I feel I've learned the tools I need to make this a lifetime change! I'm active, I'm healthy, I'm supporting & motivating others. Like I said, different person! But, for those that don't know what I've looked like, here you go!

4. Dinner out: cheese fondue with broccoli, apples, bread & a few chips

5. Dinner out: yin & yang = dangerous! So. Freaking. Good. lol

6. Dinner out: salad with ranch

7. Dinner out: vegetarian entree. I couldn't do the fungus. Especially the bag of fungus! Gag. 

8. Dinner out: peanut butter chocolate & turtle chocolate with fruit to dip (maybe some pound cake & blonde pieces, lol)

One week, 1 day of trusting myself after 2 rounds of 21 day fix. Failed to plan. Eating is tricky!  


1. Post workout shakeology: vegan chocolate, frozen mango, water (Ev nabbed a bunch!)

2. Ezekiel cinnamon raisin bread with peanut butter & cinnamon on top (A 'helped' me add the cinnamon)

3. Eggs, spinach & feta

4. Bell pepper slices

5. Leftover air popped popcorn with real butter (from last night, after posting!)

6. Leftover potato, zucchini, carrot with coconut milk

7. Extra shake again -- choosing this over the booze I would prefer! Counting it against my red container still. Vegan chocolate with frozen cherries & water 

8. Cucumber/tomato salad with ACV, hummus, sautéed zucchini/broccoli wrap 

9. TV snacks: green olives, nectarine, and plain yogurt with peanut butter & vanilla extract  


T25 alpha total body circuit! Interrupted a lot but finished!

Photo journal after 21 day fix

5 months, 3 weeks, 1 day of changing my life. 

My sixth days attempt at trusting myself after 2 rounds of 21 day fix. I planned today & ROCKED IT!!!! :):):) 


1. Post workout shakeology: vegan chocolate, strawberries, unsweetened almond milk & ice 

2. Egg & spinach scramble 

3. Bell pepper slices 

4. Waffles with plain yogurt (peanut butter & vanilla extract) & blueberries 

5. Egg salad (made with avocado) pita with cucumber/tomato salad 

6. Frozen peach slices 

7. Broccoli 

8. Sunflower seeds


T25 stretch day -- loved it! My little fellas all joined me today. :)

Photo journal after 21 day fix

5 months, 2 weeks, 6 days of changing my life. 

My fourth days attempt at trusting myself after 2 rounds of 21 day fix. I might not need to use a checklist to make sure I'm eating the right things (#trustingmyself). My portion sizes are still great though! 


1. Do you SEE those beads??? 

2. Post workout shakeology: vegan tropical strawberry, almond milk, water & ice 

3. Bell pepper slices 

4. Eggs, double veggies on a tortilla -- barely closed with double veggies, lol 

5. My vegan chocolate (new formula was awesome!) arrived today so I HAD to have one! :-O lol Mixed it with banana, frozen cherries, ice, almond milk & water. PBJ on toasted Ezekiel cinnamon raisin bread  

6. Robs homemade potato soup (leftovers from last night plus more)


T25 abs interval today & lots of swimming (my legs are feeling those squats in 3-4 foot water carrying little people!). We're loving having a pool in the complex & even discussed installing one at the new house today! #dreambig

Photo journal (after 21 day fix)

5 months, 2 weeks, 5 days of changing my life. 

My third days attempt at trusting myself after 2 rounds of 21 day fix. I definitely need to use a checklist to make sure I'm eating the right things. My portion sizes are still great though! 


1. Vegan tropical strawberry shakeology, frozen (organic) mango, plain yogurt & water with Ezekiel Cinnabon raisin toast topped with peanut butter & cinnamon  

2. Cottage cheese & bell pepper slices 

3. Post workout selfie: glistening in the sun, lol 

4. Waffle topped with plain yogurt (peanut butter & vanilla extract) & bananas 

5. Ev's leftover larabar (peanuts & dates)

6. Cheese slices 

7. Roast with potato & green beans 


I need more veggies but bed caught me early tonight! #cleansheetday 


Workout = T25 total body circuit & swimming. Yay summa time! :)

Photo journal 21 day fix (day 21/take 2)

5 months, 2 weeks, 1 day of changing my life. 

Day 21 of the 21 day fix (take 2!)!

(these meals should (!) include 4 red, 4 green, 3 purple, 3 yellow, 1 blue, 1 orange & 4 teaspoons)


Owning my bad choices. Home bound tomorrow! 

1. Post workout shakeology (at least I'm doing something right! lol) - vegan strawberry, apple, plain yogurt, splash of unsweetened almond milk & ice 

2. Breakfast out: eggs, home fries, toast, crepes & a fruit bowl 

3, 5 & 8 (no idea what happened to my #'s, lol). Dinner out: salad with ranch, bread with butter, 1 fried ravioli with jalapeño cheese, & fettuccini broccoli alfredo (A & Ev ate most of that!)

4. Brownie at my cousins - leftovers from the party!! 

6. 3 marshmallows (dandies, I'm not vegan but I can't do crushed bones!)

7. Theo! 


Day 21 = total body cardio fix. Yeah baby!

Day 20 of the 21 day fix (take 2!)!

Here's a rare day for ya. Whoa! 

1. Post workout shakeology: vegan strawberry, apple, splash of unsweetened almond milk & ice 

2. Bell pepper slices 

3. Dark chocolate & sea salt Kind bar

4. Chocolate covered pretzels 

5. Lunch after the funeral (that's mine & A's food) - pita, baba ganoush, garlic sauce, potatoes, pasta salad, fruit salad

6. Cheers! X2

7. Cheers! X2 (maybe 3 if I can find another, lol)

8. Pistachios 

9. Cheese & crackers 

10. Desserts! Babies ate most 

11. More desserts. Again, babies ate most. lol 


Day 20 = yoga! Much needed stretch.
