Photo food journal 1 year 3 weeks 6 days

1 year, 3 weeks, 6 days!! of changing my life! 

Current fitness program: Insanity Max: 30! 

 

1.  Eggs on toast with half piece of cheese, vegan chocolate shakeology, peanut butter (double), spinach, blueberries 

2. Leftover soup

3. Candy happened! I only had 2 pieces but total moment of weakness while shopping. #noguilt #lifehappens #itwasdamngood

4. Salad with apples, sunflower seeds & oil/ACV dressing, apples with a yogurt dip, pizza & sautéed broccoli 

5. Wine to ring in the new year! Brought it from home. :) 


Day 3 of 21 =  pretty damn good especially considering it was a holiday! And I had to shop while hungry because I put off shopping so long, the grocery store was closed! Tricky.

3. Homemade soup -- loads of veggies, little bit of potato & coconut milk base 

4. Eggs, toast, blueberries, & sunflower seeds 


Day 2 of 21 =  good day! I found hidden veggies to get me through, lol 


Insanity Max 30 Week 1 Day 2 = Tabata Power! That push-up section is killer.

4. Nachos -- bell peppers, chips with cheese, & black beans 


Day 1 of 21 = I took pictures of everything in the containers so I was accountable for my servings. I need to get myself together & today was a damn good start! :) 

Short 1 veggie serving, I haven't shopped since we got back so I actually ran out of vegetables, lol 

And, I need to drink more water! 


Insanity Max 30 Week 1 Day 1 = cardio challenge. This was my second time through this one so I did way better! And bonus, Rob joined me! He despises cardio so this was a big deal! :)

1. Breakfast/lunch at coney before heading out of town: cheese like product, pita & fries, lol 

Not pictured: somehow I missed my shakeology!? I'm a mess, lol 

2. This thing gave me insta-headache. 

3. Dinner out: onion rings, we sent the fried pickles back. Sadly, they were nasty.  

4. More headache creator 

5. Last of the cookies that I saved from the exchange - yum! Chips with cheese & wine (my white elephant glass holds a whole bottle, LOL)


So, I don't like to say 'restarting tomorrow' because lets get real, each choice is a fresh start & a new chance! But, I've been on a spiral so I need to get my mind right & focus 100%! Tomorrow it is. We leave for our trip in 22 days so I'll be starting a 21 day fix tomorrow. What's that mean? Basically, I'll be committing to eating clean for 3 weeks. I got this! :):):)

And I'm going to do insanity max 30 so I can roll it through vacation -- no equipment needed! Can't take up too much precious luggage space with a few DVDs, right!? ;)

Breast milk & vaccines

Warning! Hot topic that I'm not looking to debate. We all do what's best for our own families & that's Ok by me! 

I've seen this article posted a bunch recently so I had to finally stop & read it. I found this bit interesting: "Do they not realize what they have stumbled upon? In demonstrating that breastmilk counters the live vaccine, they’ve shown that breastmilk counters the virus."

Sweat Intervals I MAXED OUT

I maxed out HARD CORE today! 
Sugar & alcohol hangover. Ouch. 
I thought I maxed at 6:42 but the vomit says I truly maxed at 8 minutes. :-O 
I rarely drink coffee but started the day with it this morning. Baaaaaad idea before this workout! So much leg work, I just couldn't hang. BUT, I finished it! #BOOM

The draw of the low cost gym.

This is a really interesting article! I don't attend a gym for a million reasons. But, I totally have a lifetime membership to one in my wallet from back in the day. Did I attend regularly because I had a long term pricey contact? Nope! Surely didn't. 
I have friends that have complained recently about being 'talked to' for being too intimidating at these types of gyms. Why? Because they lift heavy. Such crap. 

Love the end of this article. If you DO join the low cost gym, go every day to spite them. Ha! #dotheunexpected 

Insanity Max 30 trial & review.

I replaced Beast Cardio with Insanity Max 30 today. It's been here for a while & it's been killing me not trying it out! So, I had to give it a whirl! :)
Here are my thoughts from attempt #1 --
I was SO nervous to start! I locked in the modifier so I could focus on hitting my max & not on the fear of peeing my pants from the jumps. :-O lol 
45 seconds - I thought, OMG what have I gotten myself into??? 
5 minutes - SO THANKFUL for the water break! 
9:03 - MAXED OUT! Those pike alt did me in. 
16:10 - I thought I might vomit (but didn't, lol)
19 - I was begging for the next water break! 
Suicide burpees? Holy hell. Even modified. Holy hell! lol 

When I got done & came out, Rob said 'you need to moan through the whole thing because there were a few times I almost came in to check on you'. LOL, apparently my silence scared him & he thought Shaun T had killed me, lol!! 

Overall? HELL YES!! I can NOT wait to really start this program on January 5th with my superstar challenge group! Don't forget, I'm still giving away the colored food containers with any challenge pack purchase by Christmas, you can still join in the fun! :)

I also realized while doing this workout that I NEED this type of workout. Body Beast has been a nice break but it hasn't done much for my body. Rob even said he thinks this workout is much more my speed. Soooooon, I'll be back! :):):)

This one could not be more true for my feelings right now. 
We went out last night & I got drunk! That is a big huge rarity! I'll drink a beer here & there but I can't remember the last time I was actually drunk. 
So this morning, I was DEFINITELY feeling it! 
I had fried food & a beer at dinner tonight. Adding to my garbage feeling. 
We got home late, it was after 8PM so I was thinking, screw it, I'll just call it another rest day & work through the next week. 
But! I decided to push through ...... BECAUSE I CAN!! 
Week 7/day 6 of Body Beast = bulk shoulders. #BOOM done.

Rough day, I found out an old friend passed away & I'm having a hard time processing it. So heartbroken. 


Body Beast Week 7 Day 4/block 2 = bulk back! Late workout & it felt really good to push myself. Something about death gives me major motivation. *because I can*

Photo food journal 1 year & 6 days

1 year, 6 days!! of changing my life! 

Current fitness program: Body Beast! 

 

1. Egg bagel & foo-foo coffee 

2. Foo-foo coffee #2 & a brownie 

3. Breadsticks 

4. Salad (drenched in ranch, I forgot to request it on the side, gag) & pizza  

5. Vegan chocolate shakeology, kale, banana, peanut butter, ice, & water, and popcorn 


Lots of shopping & garbage food choices. Worth it! I'm sure I'll be singing a different tune tomorrow though, lol   


Body Beast Week 7 Day 3/block 2 = bulk arms! Looooong & late day of shopping. Squeezed in our workout anyway. #noexcuses #BOOM

4. Vanilla shakeology, kale, banana, peanut butter, ice, & water, eggs with kale & feta, yogurt with blueberries, peanut butter


So much peanut butter.   


Body Beast Week 7 Day 2/block 2 = bulk legs! Neither of us were feeling it but we powered through!
